Share of older adults with difficulties getting after-hours care worldwide 2021
Of the 11 countries surveyed, six countries had over half of older adults say it was difficult to get after-hours care without going to the emergency department. The Netherlands performed the best, which can be attributed to their primary care providers regularly providing after-hours care or offering home-visits.
This statistic shows the percentage of adults aged 65 and older who said it was somewhat or very difficult to get after-hours care in 2021 worldwide.
