Most common employment deterioration due to menopause among women Japan 2021, by type
According to a survey conducted in July 2021, about 10 percent of female respondents in non-regular employment in Japan stated that they left their job due to an impact of menopausal symptoms. An overall share of about 14 percent of female regular employees and around 16 percent of female non-regular employees reported that they faced deterioration in employment due to menopause.
