In 2015, the Japanese government began the recognition of incorporated enterprises that strongly engage in maintaining the state of health of employees and improving working conditions. To be certified as an enterprise actively engaging in health and productivity management, 9,404 small‐to‐medium‐sized corporations answered a survey conducted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
