Youth NEET rate in Russia 2021

Approximately 12.2 percent of Russian 15-to-24-year-olds were neither in employment nor education or training (NEET) in 2021. To compare, in the previous year, the youth NEET rate was measured at a slightly higher 12.4 percent. Over the observed period, the highest figure was recorded at approximately 14.2 percent in 2010.

This indicator refers to the proportion of youth who are not in employment and not in education or training. For statistical purposes, youth are defined as persons between the ages of 15 and 24 years. The series is part of the ILO modelled estimates and is harmonized to account for differences in national data and scope of coverage, collection and tabulation methodologies as well as for other country-specific factors."
