Major trade partners of China 2021, by trade value
ASEAN remained China's most important trading partner in 2021, with a total import and export value of about 5.67 trillion yuan, followed by the European Union with a trade value of approximately 5.35 trillion yuan. After the ceasefire of the U.S.-China trade war, the foreign trade value between both countries increased by more than 20 percent that year, making the United States China's third-largest trade partner.
