Concrete admixtures led the global construction chemicals market in 2020, with an estimated market share of 30 percent. Ranking second were adhesives and sealants, accounting for nearly 22 percent of the construction chemicals market worldwide, only followed by protective coatings, which represented an estimated 18.6 percent of the market share in 2020. That same year, the Asia-Pacific region was the largest market for construction chemicals and was estimated to amount to some 17.23 billion U.S. dollars.
