Japan: risks SMEs hope to cover with P&C insurance 2022

According to a survey conducted in September 2022, the most common risk small and medium-sized enterprises in Japan hoped to reduce by purchasing non-life insurance was natural disasters. While around 42.6 percent of SMEs hoped to reduce risks related to natural catastrophes, about 26.2 percent wanted to cover declines in sales due to customers closing their business or going bankrupt.
