Electricity production in Nigeria 2021, by company
As of 2021, Nigeria's Egbin Power produced over 5.6 thousand gigawatt hours of energy, the highest amount compared to the other generating companies in the country. Moreover, Azura-Edo generated around 3.3 thousand gigawatt hours of electricity, while production from the Jebba hydropower plant reached approximately 3.1 thousand gigawatt hours. Overall, more than 25 generating companies (GENCOS) contributed to Nigeria's electricity grid in the mentioned year.
