Sweden: asylum applications from Ukraine 2023

The number of refugees arriving in Sweden through the European Union's Temporary Protection Directive from Ukraine was highest immediately after the outbreak of the war, when nearly 27,000 refugees arrived. Following the Russia-Ukraine war, which started at the end of February 2022, a high number of people sought refuge in other European countries.
