Japan: impact of the coronavirus pandemic on friendships by age group 2021

According to a survey conducted in Japan in October 2021, more than 53 percent of people in their twenties felt at least somewhat less connected to friends compared to before the coronavirus pandemic. Across all age groups, a large share of respondents felt that the emotional connection with their friends did not change due to the pandemic.
