Global reviews of top iOS apps by category 2022

As of February 2022, global users left an average of 31.7 thousand reviews of the highest-ranking apps in the Apple App Store across the examined app categories. Apps appearing at the very top of the results page had an average of 51.9 thousand reviews, while apps appearing in the tenth position had 21.9 thousand reviews. Social media apps had the highest number of user reviews, with 86 thousand reviews on average. Health and fitness apps presented the lowest number of user reviews, while food and drink apps reported 16 thousand reviews on average.
