Median update frequency of top iOS apps by category 2022

As of February 2022, the first apps appearing to users on the Apple App Store results page were updated between 15 and 24 days before. Finance apps presented the most frequent updates, with a median update date of 12 days. By comparison, gaming apps had a median of 29 days for new releases, with apps in this category appearing in the eighth and ninth position presenting a median of 40 and 42 days for updates.
