Japan: non-performing loan value of banks by category 2022

In 2021, the value of doubtful loans of banks in Japan based on the Financial Reconstruction Act, FRA for short, amounted to around 5.7 trillion Japanese yen, making it the largest category of non-performing loans. The overall value of loans dropped to a ten-year low in 2018, but indicated an upwards trend in more recent years.
