Global rating of top Android apps by category 2022

As of February 2022, global users gave on average 4.15 stars to the leading 10 gaming apps recommended in the Google Play Store. The gaming app ranking at the very top of the store's result page reported an average of 4.09 stars rating, while the health and fitness app occupying the same position was rated with an average of 4.04 stars by Android users. By comparison, food and drink apps occupying the first 10 positions in the Google Play Store results page had a lower average rating, with 3.74 stars. The highest-ranking shopping apps saw an average rating of 3.97 stars, while apps in this category occupying the ninth and tenth positions had an average rating of 3.91 and 3.98 stars, respectively.
