U.S.: Car purchasing intention by vehicle type and climate change views

According to a 2021 survey by the European Investment Bank, a quarter of U.S. participants who felt climate change impacts on their everyday life also had interest in purchasing a fully-electric vehicle. In contrast, only two out of 25 respondents who felt climate change had no impact on everyday life would consider buying an electric vehicle.

The question "Do you feel that climate change has an impact on your everyday life?" was used to separate respondents in two groups: 708 respondents felt climate change has an impact on every day life, and 292 felt climate change had no impact on everyday life. Answers to the survey question were "Yes, very much so", "Yes, somewhat", "No, not really", and "No, not at all".
