Leading types of fraud attacks to e-merchants worldwide 2021

The most common type of fraud encountered by online merchants worldwide in 2021 was friendly fraud, with nearly 40 percent of survey respondents saying they experienced this type of attack. Card testing and phishing also impacted a large share of the respondents, being the only other fraud methods affecting more than 30 percent of surveyed e-merchants.
