In 2021/2022, the birth rate among urban households in Morocco stood at 15.1 births per 1,000 inhabitants. On the other hand, rural areas recorded a higher birth rate, corresponding to 17.2 births per 1,000 population. The birth rate in the country generally decreased between 2019 and 2022.
