Average public sector weekly wage in Egypt 2014-2019, by gender
In 2019, the average weekly wage of women in the public sector was nearly 1.65 thousand Egyptian pounds (almost 89.9 U.S. dollars), while it was lower for men at 1.46 thousand Egyptian pounds (close to 79.5 U.S. dollars). Over the observed period, women's salaries were higher than those of men in the public sector, with both increasing yearly.
