According to a survey conducted in South Korea in 2021, about 58 percent of respondents opposed President-elect Yoon Seok-yul's plan to move the presidential office from the Blue House (Cheong Wa Dae) to the defense ministry building. Around 33 percent supported the plan. President-elect Yoon had officially announced the relocation plan on March 20, 2022, promising that the Blue House would be open to the public.
