The market cap of Terra's UST stablecoin grew by two million USD in March 2022 alone, a continuation of the growth since November 2021. Due to the coin's usefulness for Decentralized Finance or DeFi - the coin is effectively less volatile than other cryptocurrencies due to its design - the UST stablecoin and its supportive LUNA token were both among the top crypto in terms of market cap in 2022.
