
Main online sales channels used by businesses in Costa Rica 2021
According to a study conducted in 2021, almost nine out of ten companies selling online in Costa Rica used WhatsApp and social networks as a sales channel. Of the participating companies, just over a third (36 percent) reported having their own e-commerce platform, while less than a quarter (23 percent) used third-party platforms. In addition, customer loyalty and home delivery platforms were each used by 12 percent of the businesses surveyed.
