Locally produced tea sales value distribution in China 2022, by type
In 2022, green tea accounted for approximately 62 percent of the total domestically-grown tea sales value in China. Post-fermented tea, also referred to as dark tea, was the third most-produced and most domestically sold tea type in China with approximately 9.5 percent in sales value share. Pu'er is the most popular type of post-fermented Chinese teas.
