Share of MSMEs to total enterprises Philippines 2016-2020
In 2020, micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) businesses accounted for 99.5 percent of the total enterprises in the Philippines. This figure had been consistent over the past three years. In the same year, wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles, and motorcycles businesses was the leading business industry in this sector, accounting for nearly half of the total industries.
