During the week ending October 23, 2023, consumer prices in Russia were 5.32 percent higher than at the beginning of the year. The year-to-date inflation rate continuously increased until mid-May 2022 and from mid-September 2022, reflecting the economic impact of sanctions on Russia due to the war in Ukraine.
