In 2022, SK ecoplant spent around 22.3 billion South Korean won for R&D purposes, which signified a decrease of around a third of the previous year's expenses. R&D expenses steadily increased from 2010 to 2015, and subsequently continued to decrease over the years. SK ecoplant is part of the SK Group conglomerate.
