In a survey conducted on Singaporeans' opinions on the Russia-Ukraine war conducted in March 2022, 69 percent of the respondents stated that they believed Russia was to blame for starting the war. Singapore is currently one of the few countries in Asia-Pacific that have imposed sanctions on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.
