Between April 2021 and March 2022, Egypt recorded mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals in the oil and gas sector for a total value of 461 million U.S. dollars. This was the highest value reported in North Africa in that period. Tunisia and Algeria followed, with oil and gas M&A deals amounting to 438 million and 436 million U.S. dollars, respectively.
