In 2021, there was around 266 million sq. ft. cumulative stock of real estate in tier I cities in sector of industries and logistics in India. During 2017 to 2021, Grade A stock was always less than Grade B stock, however, it was estiamted since 2022 the trend would be reversed. The market witnessed supply of 45 million sq. ft. in 2021.

Tier I cities in India include: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune.
Grade A buildings are top of the line. They are often the location of the most sought-after office spaces or residential areas.
Grade B buildings fall somewhat below the rank of Grade A buildings. In comparison to Grade A buildings, grade B buildings are secondary when it comes to their location, maintenance and facilities.
