Number of asylum applications from unaccompanied minors in Sweden 2012-2022

After the peak in 2015 following the refugee crisis in Europe that year, the number of asylum applications from unaccompanied minors in Sweden dropped radically. Whereas over 35,000 unaccompanied minors applied for asylum in Sweden in 2015, it dropped to around 2,000 in 2016. By 2022, the number was just above 600. In total, nearly 17,000 people applied for asylum in Sweden that year.
