Agricultural import volume growth in China 2022-2023, by product group
In 2023, the import volume of meat and innards to China decreased by approximately 0.3 percent after dropping by 21 percent in the previous year. This was due to a significant decline in pork imports. In contrast, imports of aquatic products increased by 20.2 percent in volume in 2022 and another 10.6 percent in 2023.
