Mental health: type of treatments received in Mexico 2021

According to a survey carried out in Mexico in 2021, the most common type of treatment received by patients with mental health symptoms were medications, as reported by about 44 percent of interviewees. Psychotherapy treatment followed, with around 39 percent of respondents, whereas approximately 17 percent stated they received both treatments. The same survey stated that six in every ten patients with mental health symptoms in the Latin American country do not seek medical care.
