Norway: effect of rising inflation on lifestyle 2022

A high share of workers in Norway had to change their lifestyle due to the rising inflation at the end of 2021 and beginning of 2022. Nearly 60 percent of the respondents, in a survey conducted by the union Fagforbundet in March 2022, responded that they had changed their way of living to a high or very high degree due to the rising prices. Consumer prices increased in Norway over the winter of 2021/2022 compared to the previous year, among other things due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact of the Russian war in Ukraine.
