Russia's mine production of cobalt reached an estimated 8.8 thousand metric tons in 2023, up 4 percent from the previous year. In 2022, Russia produced the largest volume of cobalt over the observed period, at 9.2 thousand metric tons. The country is the third-leading cobalt producer worldwide.
