Leading cobalt mines worldwide 2022, by production volume
In 2022, the Metalkol RTR Project mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo) was by far the leading mine worldwide in terms of cobalt production, with an estimated output of 57,060 metric tons of cobalt. That year, eight out of 10 ten largest cobalt mines in the world were located in the DR Congo.
