In 2019, India was responsible for the highest amount of mismanaged plastic waste among the Asia-Pacific countries, amounting to approximately 13 million metric tons. On the other hand, Marshall Islands had the lowest amount of mismanaged plastic waste in that year, valuing to 0.02 thousand metric tons.
