Most targeted product categories of recommendation-based marketing in China 2022
"Zhongcao", a popular Chinese term meaning "planting grass" originally, describes the effect of recommendation-based marketing strategy as "to plant a seed in one's mind". Fashion, cosmetics, and food products are the most effective product categories to do such marketing campaign. According to a survey conducted in March 2022, about 58.5 percent of respondents in China shared the experience of purchasing apparel, shoes, and bags under the influence of "Zhongcao" content.
