Major limitations for providing medical online consultations in Mexico 2021

A survey conducted among doctors in Mexico in 2021 indicated that around eight in every ten doctors who used the internet in their role as physicians, but did not carried out online medical consultations, did not do it because they needed to examine the patient in person. Other limitations for online consultations mentioned by physicians were problems with their fee payments and confidentiality concerns. Based on the same study, only around four in every ten interviewed doctors who used the internet for professional purposes provided online patient consultations.
