Share of female-founded startups in Brazil 2021, by industry
In 2021, approximately 15.2 percent of start-ups founded by women in Brazil belonged to the health and biotech sector. Education start-ups followed second with 12.7 percent. That year, women's entrepreneurial activity rate in this country decreased compared to 2020, affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
