The level of spending on advertising by leading insurance firms in the United Sates fluctuated in the five-year period from 2019 to 2023. Geico was the largest spender from 2019 through to 2021 having spent roughly two billion dollars each year. As of 2022, spending on advertising dipped among all firms, by 2023 Progressive was the only firm to have spent more than a billion dollars on advertising.
