In 2020, the largest single group of people who acquired a Danish citizenship were from the United Kingdom. 11 percent of the 6,333 citizenships granted in Denmark that year were acquired by citizens of the UK. The second largest single group who acquired a Danish citizenship that year was Germans, followed by those from Pakistan and Ukraine. Moreover, half of the citizenships were granted to people from other countries than those listed in the statistic.
