In the 2020/21 school year, the estimated number of teaching staff in primary education in Israel amounted to nearly 91.5 thousand. Teachers in primary schools constituted the largest group of educators that year, followed by upper secondary school teachers (over 55.5 thousand people) and lower secondary teachers (nearly 39.7 thousand people).
