In 2023, the share of young women in Spain who identified as feminist was more than double that of young men who considered themselves as such. Moreover, while the percentage of feminist women grew consistently since until 2021, it fell by almost 10 percentage points between 2021 and 2023. In the case of male youths, this figure fell by 7 percent in 2023. This same survey also revealed that almost 19 percent of young Spanish men believed that gender inequality in the country very small, and another 11 percent claimed that such inequality did not exist.
