Between 2009 and 2022, the part-time employment rate of workers aged 25-29 in Spain was significantly higher for women than for men. In the case of young men, the part-time rate peaked in 2016, when 16.4 percent of workers in this age group had temporary contracts, more than double the rate in 2009. In the case of women, the highest rate was reached in 2014, at 29.4 percent. By 2022, one fourth of women employed who were 25 to 29 years old worked part-time.
