In 2023, the share of devices with near-field communication (NFC) chips among smartphones present in the Russian market constituted 75 percent, having increased from the previous year. The figure marked an increase between 2019 and 2022. To compare, in 2019, 45 percent of all smartphones sold in the country had an NFC chip.
