Sales of selected e-commerce banners in Canada 2022-2027
According to forecasts as of April 2022, Amazon will strengthen its leading position in the Canadian e-commerce market over the next five years. With a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 13 percent between 2022 and 2027, sales by the e-commerce giant were forecast to rise from over 11.6 billion to about 21.4 billion U.S. dollars. Real Canadian Superstore will continue to represent a smaller percentage of chain e-commerce sales in the country. However, the company was forecast to stand out for almost doubling sales during the same period.
