Canada: chain retail sales 2020, 2027, by store type
In 2022, the store type with the highest retail chain sales in Canada was supermarkets and neighborhood stores, with gross sales of 58.6 billion U.S. dollars. However, eCommerce was forecast to grow at the fastest rate of any store type and overtake supermarkets by 2027, thereby becoming the largest chain retail channel.
