Leading social media usage reasons in Italy 2022
According to a survey conducted in the third quarter of 2022 among internet users in Italy, almost half of respondents use social media for reading news stories. Filling spare time was the second most common reason for users in Italy to engage with social media platforms, with 47 percent of respondents reporting doing so for this particular reason. Additionally, just over 46 percent of respondents reported using social media platforms to keep in touch with friends and family.
