The respondents were asked to answer the following question: "Has there been a time in the last three months when you or a member of your household had a health problem, but you did not seek treatment due to the cost of care?"

"Results are based on a survey conducted by web over successive field periods of Sept. 27-30 and Oct. 18-21, with 6,663 adults aged 18 and older, living in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia..." Surveys were also conducted in "March 15-21 (n=3,905) and June 14-20, 2021 (n=4,843)."
