Methane emissions in Sub-Saharan Africa 2000-2019
Methane (CH4) emissions from Sub-Saharan Africa reached around 940 metric tons of CO2 equivalent in 2019. Overall, methane emissions in the region have increased during the period observed. Worlwide, methane emissions totaled 9.4 billion metric tons of CO2 equivalent in 2018.
