According to a survey conducted between March and April 2021, Risk Takers (identified as companies that prioritize business growth and are focused on business strategy and are ready to take higher cyber risks) reported the highest share of cyber attacks resulting in a data breach. Companies in this category saw a share of 53 percent of the cyber attacks that caused data breaches. By comparison, companies defined as Cyber Champions saw only 17 percent of the cyber attacks directed towards them resulting in data breaches.
